Our marine biologist writes a report at the end of each breeding season that summarises how well the season has gone for the penguins.
She is also working on other projects that we will add to this site as the work is completed.

The 6th Oamaru Penguin Symposium was held at the Kingsgate Hotel in Oamaru on the 26th and 27th June 2008. Our marine biologist (Philippa) represented the Oamaru Blue Penguin Colony at the symposium and gave a presentation on the blue penguins of Oamaru, outlining how well they are doing.
