2010/11 Breeding season.

The first egg was found on the 13th July, which has now hatched. It will be another week before the next chick hatches. The nest boxes are checked once a week by our Marine Biologist. This week an extra 2 eggs were found bringing the total laid to 196.

 The following table shows the final statistics for the 2009/10 breeding season for the blue penguins at the Quarry colony.
